Description
UNIV®-NS is a mineral-based silica powder (SiO2 98%+) that enhances concrete strength with multiple properties including self-compacting ability, strength enhancement, heat dissipation, prevention of water seepage (leakages), and smooth surface finish. It meets all national and international standards for ready-mix concrete applications.

Reference Standard
  • IS 516:2018 (Part 2/Sec 1)
  • IS 4031:1988 Part 8
  • IS 4926:2003

Area of Application
  • High-grade concretes
  • Ready Mix Plant (RMC)
  • Precast work
  • All types of concrete work

Benefits
  • Crack Reduction: UNIV®-NS aids in preventing cracks, improving cohesion, and reducing maintenance costs in the long term.
  • Compressive Strength: Demonstrates compressive strengths ranging from 12.1–14.5 MPa at 2 days, 19.1–23.8 MPa at 7 days, and 34.1–36.9 MPa at 28 days.
  • Purity: Contains high levels of silica (95% to 99%) compared to regular sand, reducing impurities.
  • Temperature Reduction: Can reduce temperatures via carbon reduction at 1600°C–2000°C to yield volatile silicon monoxide.
  • Water Leakage Reduction: Some silica sands absorb moisture better than others, aiding in reducing water leakages.
  • Time Saving: Offers quick setting time and smooth surface finish, reducing further surface treatment time.
  • Long Durability: Allows for long-term use, reducing maintenance costs.
  • Easy Application: Easy to mix in batches as needed.
  • Eco-Friendly: Contains no fly ash or slag.

Limitations or Restrictions
  • Avoid direct application to gypsum plaster or boards, fiber cement boards, drywall partitions, plywood, chipboard, particleboard, decorative laminates, resilient flooring, metal, plastic, deformable surfaces, or surfaces subject to vibrations.
  • Not suitable for fixing artificial, nano, engineered stone, composites, or metal tiles.

How toApply: -
Surface Preparation
Prepare the surfaces before the UNIV®– NS application by removing oil, bond inhibiting agents, dirt, dust and laitance
The cleaning can be carried out with suitable methods like by using wire brush, water jetting, mopping, etc.

Mixing
UNIV®-NS requires 16% of Normal Water by weight of material (Example- 40kg Bag requires 7.0 to 8.0 Litre of Water)
Mix UNIV®-NS to the measured quantity of water using mechanical stirring for 2-3 minutes to ensure a consistent lump free mixture.

Curing
Due to Silica Base compound the temperature of bonding agent low & it gives fast curing, Its Required time for Settlement is 24Hr.

Water Curing is required for 2 to 3 time in day up to 7 days from application.

Precaution –safety
As per health & safety rules. Use safety accessories required to be used, would include:
a) Safety gloves
b) Safety goggles
c) Dust & nose mask
d) Helmet

In case of accidental contact with eyes of either dry or wet mix, immediately wash your hands; make sure your hands are clean and then wash your eyes with clean water and if required, seek medical assistance.

Avoid breathing dust.
